How expensive is a full big band?
In many cases the cost is not much different than some smaller groups. Our band takes pride in providing a first class performance at an affordable fee.
How much space does a full big band need?
The optimal space would be a full stage but we can fit in an 18’ x 14’ rectangle. If you are unsure, do not hesitate to call. We have in fit in some really tight quarters before.
What type of attire does a big band wear?
The band portrays a professional look at all times. We have several outfits available for your occasion including: 1) Formal wear 2) Black slacks and blue bowling shirts 3) For a less casual event, black blazers, blue t-shirt and jeans.
What type of music is played?
The Swing Cats Big Band has an enormous repertoire library ranging from the sounds of Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey to music from the 70’s, 80’s, Patriotic and Holiday classics. We have a vast amount of arrangements and will fit the selections to your occasion.
Do you have a sound and light system available?
We offer many packages to choose from. A full sound and light system can be included within your package choice.
